I’m so sorry to hear this sad news. I live on Arnott Street and, pre Covid, loved to see Paddy feed the pigeons at the bottom of our street each day. They flocked for blocks to get fed by him. He was a lovely addition to our street and we have missed him. Sincere condolences to his family.

So very saddened to learn of our dear neighbour Pat's passing. They say you can learn almost everything you need to know about the true heart of a man by the way he treats an animal, and Pat was truly loved and cherished by all his neighbours, and feathered & furry friends throughout Portobello and beyond. His worldly wisdom, humour and chats have been greatly missed here since his respite back to Wexford, and I hope he rests well now in eternal peace. Slán abhaile Pat.

Sincerely, Brian Gray, Ovoca Road.
— Brian Gray

My deepest condolences to the Cullen family. Pat was a true character and a gentleman of Arnott street. Seeing him walking up and down the street and stopping for a chat was a part of my childhood. Funnily enough I received a painting of Pat doing his daily commute up the street for a birthday present and as a constant reminder of home. Rest in Peace Pat. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam

Very sorry to hear of Pat's passing. Pat was a lovely gentle man. I knew him from Kevin Street, and would always have a chat in Whitefiar St church, where he regularly visited. Loved animals and was a great man to feed the birds. He lived a good simple life, although a man of great intelligence. Our prayers are with You Pat's Family. God Bless Tom.

So sorry to hear of Pat's death. He was a much loved neighbour in Arnott Street/ Curzon Street. Conversations with him were always interesting, as he was so thoughtful and knowledgeable. His love of animals and nature was inspiring. He was also a respected colleague in DIT Kevin Street. He has been very much missed from our street in recent times and he will always be remembered by his neighbours. We have a framed painting of him by a local artist which we treasure.
