So sad to hear of Pats death. A founder member of Dromineer Nenagh Literary Festival. I took over his role of treasurer when he retired from the committee. He continued to be a great supporter of the festival. I last met him at the 20th anniversary last Oct and we had a great chat. May he rest in peace with his beloved wife Liz.

I was very sad to hear of Pat’s passing, my sincere condolences to all his family. I worked in the library with Pat for many years and have wonderful memories of that time! Pat loved poetry, in springtime he’d come into the office and recite the little poem “Spring is sprung, the grass is rez..etc” so naturally every Spring, I think of him and smile! He was just a lovely man.

Pat Kelly was a real gent of a man and his loss will be keenly felt by all his friends and family.

Kind, intelligent, caring and funny. He told entertaining tales and played the part of rapt audience in equal measure. He strove to enrich the lives of all those around him and I never heard a bad word said against him.
