Sincere condolence to the wife, son of Patrick and to the extended Kriegel family on the very sad passing of Patrick may he RIP with his beloved daughter Ana thinking of you all at this very sad time, my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

My deepest condolences to Geraldine, family and friends. I had the pleasure of working closely with Patrick over many years in DIT, and I enjoyed every one of the daily encounters we had in the corridors of the College. He brought always that urbane Gallic wit that kept you on your toes but left you feeling stimulated. There is a saying “when you laugh you learn”. That’s why so many of his students remember his classes so fondly – you can be sure they also remember what they learned from him.

I have no words to speak of the unspeakable pain that was later to be visited on all of you. I just hope there is some comfort in the outpouring of grief across the country from those who don’t know you but clearly want to hold their arms around you. May Patrick and Ana rest together in peace.

I had the absolute pleasure of having Patrick as my French teacher in DIT. He was so encouraging, so supportive and as we were a small class, we all got to know him very well. He was a gentleman.
We were still in touch when Ana came into your lives and I remember how overjoyed he was.

Although I only spoke to Mr. Kriegel during the toughest time of his life, those few weeks going out for small breaks to get some air with him and Geraldine were enough for him to make an impression on me.

Always showing such love and respect for his family, I always went home thinking how greatly the family was represented.
