So sorry to Niamh, Grainne, Nicola and the lads on Patrick’s passing. I was so fond of him and I loved our great chats. He was a gentle loving teddy bear. You guys looked after him so well. Patrick was an amazing big brother. A big giant, I looked up to when I was a boy. He was as strong as an Ox and I was amazed by the weights he could lift when I was younger.

He was so unique and a great character. I’ll miss the good times and the great laughs, going for drives, listening to tunes, talking a load of rubbish and eating like pigs. I’ve lost not only a brother but I’ve lost a best mate. So many great memories.

The family will never be the same now that the heart and soul of the party is gone. A man that every time you met him, you knew for one thing, that it wasn’t going to be boring.

We spoke just hours before you passed away, you were looking forward to me collecting you on Friday and going to Nicola’s house, unfortunately that never happened but I’ll never forget the last day we met, eating a delicious mango in the beautiful garden, the sun was shining and we were listening to Bob Marley.

I love you “Podrick” as Shockmeister calls you, I miss you, have a great time wrecking dad’s head and chain smoking silk cut reds with Josie, until we meet again.

“You were off your rocker but the craic was 90.”
