It was with great sadness that we attended Paddy's funeral over the internet yesterday, the eulogy brought back so many childhood memories for my mother. She fondly recalls her closeness to all in Banquet Hill. Sincere condolences to all of Paddy's family. RIP .

I got to know Paddy and his lovely wife Norah when they made numerous trips home during which they would call to our home in Cork when they passed through. Our condolences to Nora and family on the passing of Paddy. We have such fond memories of Paddy, from Ilford, Hornchurch and the Iona Social Club. A wonderful man that loved his family dearly. I had the pleasure of working alongside Paddy on the Iona Social Committee in the early '90s - he was always generous with his time, always on hand for advice and the person that always had your back. I could tell many stories from our time together, but suffice to say some very happy memories. I can only imagine the huge loss you must feel right now, we send our love and deepest sympathies at this difficult time. God willing we'll all meet again some day,but for now I hope there's a "rings" team competing in heaven. Rest in peace old friend.
