Patrick (Pat) Sweeney

Well Pat, if you're not counted among the Communion of Saints along with St. Thérèse there is no hope for the rest of us!

Very fond memories of our time on the road with her relics back in 2001 - a Pilgrimage of Grace on so many levels. Your constant devotion to St. Thérèse and your spiritual relationship with her was beyond inspiring.

This world will be a lesser place without you. But I have no doubt that, like Thérèse, your mission in heaven will be to continue to help us here on earth by putting in the good word on our behalf with the Lord himself.

Rest well Pat and thank you. 🌹

I met Pat through my work in Kildare County Council. He was involved in many community initiatives like the provision of sheltered housing for the elderly and town twinning activities. Pat was a hugely compassionate man who did everything in his power to meet local needs. He was also a complete gentleman and very respectful in his personal and professional dealings. I came away from every encounter with Pat feeling very much in awe. His dedication to good causes was phenomenal. Rest in peace Pat. You have truly earned your heavenly reward.
