A pure gentleman from the first day I met him and that was a long time ago when he was conducting on the buses with John the Driver. Always had a smile on his face when we got on the bus from Congress Place and brought us to Paddy Brownes road for school in St.Pauls. He would always tell us to hold onto the few pence the bus cost and tell us to buy a few sweets for ourselves. I was only 6 at the time and I never forgot how friendly he was to us all over the following years on the way to school everyday. I met in the odd time around the city since then and always said hello and he still had that great smile and a big hello back. A truly wonderful man. A bed of heaven to him and may he rest in peace.
