Pat's passing brings an end to an era in Clonmore. The close family ties with with their neighbours; the Regan's ; the Burke's ; the Magner's: the Doyle's & others were all part of Pat's tapestry of early life. As was Margaret Wall & her family , who were good friends with John and Ger. Their kindness & care was unprecedented. Pat spoke in glowing terms & disbelief at Margaret & her daughter Louise's care & attention for John & Ger.
Pat's career in the racing world was "his pride & joy". It was an integral part of his life and the fact that he was known within the community as "Tipp", spoke volumes as already expressed in previous messages below. Again his good friends Kelly & Benji Coogan from that world, were unprecedented in their friendship; care & assistance to Pat . He was blessed to have such good friends, but then he was such an endearing personality.
In conversations with Pat he expressed his admiration, respect; & appreciation for all the kindness & assistance he received from his close circle of friends who surrounded him in Newbridge & made life possible. Pat was very grateful.
May he rest in the Peace of the Lord, together with the rest of his family.
— John Fitzgerald.
