Paul was one of the warmest people I've known. There was a deep well of kindness in him and a way of engaging that let you know you had his complete attention. To make him laugh, though, was a joy in itself, as his laughter could light a room.

I remembered Paul in the B district and was always smiling and happy and so helpful, always ready and willing to give members assistance and advice. Paul was one person who never changed as he moved up the ranks of An Garda Siochana. I find genuine people like him are few and far between. May he rest in peace.
