I was extremely fortunate to have Pauline as my Godmother. She had a marvelous knowledge of the world and a great sense of humour which she displayed when I visited her.
I am imagining herself and Harry and Vincent all together. God bless !

Her uncle Harry O’Brien was married to my Aunt Annie Conboy (Rooskeynamona) in New York. I remember their son Harry visiting from NY when I was young. Pauline was a talented actress who entertained audiences with her powerful acting skills in many plays in Cloonturk Hall. Great conversation was always her strong point, she liked people, she knew how to make connections. She was a lovely person and now goes to her eternal reward after a long life, well lived. Deeply saddened to hear of granny Paulines’ passing.
I have the very fondest memories of spending summer holidays running down the road from Mallon’s to milk with Tom and Pauline. There wasn’t a day missed.
Into my adulthood I would never visit Bornacoola without stopping into visit Pauline. She has a special place in my heart.
