We wish to express our deepest sympathies to Nikki, Van, Leah, Isla and baby Páidí who we have yet to meet. Also to Pat, Mairead, Niamh and Phelim. To the extended Kirby and Cleary families. Our hearts are heavy knowing that Pauric is no longer with us. He truly was a light in our lives and we will miss every day. He was incredibly loved by all who were lucky enough to have known him. It was such an honour for all of us to be Pauric’s friend. We have so many amazing memories that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. I hope you feel the love that surrounds you all now and always as we continue praying for your healing, comfort, strength and peace during this painful time.

I am so sorry to you all for your loss but indeed it's our loss too. Pauric was a special guy, a person who could turn any ones day around with a heartfelt wave with his huge hands while his eyes were full of genuine good nature. No matter where you went Pauric would go out of his way to say hello to you. Only recently I met him at the petrol pumps in town and I was met with the most sincere hello and left in good humour. Pauric, thank you for being you, always. May you rest in peace, you absolute gentleman X

The midlands won’t be the same without Pauric. Very few men have Paurics’ ability to bless people the way he did. Any day we met I was always the better for it. I always felt delighted to have met Pauric every time we met , or even if we only spoke on the phone. Infectious positivity.

Pauric was a beautiful person. I hadn't met him in years until 6 months ago. He was exactly as I remembered him, big smile, twinkly eyes and a down to earth personality. I was so happy to see him and his beautiful family. He had grown into a fine man. I can't imagine your loss. Castletown has lost 2 icons in Finbarr and now Pauric.
