We offer our heartfelt sympathy to his nearest and dearest, his sister Mary and brother Patrick and we pray that they in their mourning look at his passing not as an end to his life; rather, see it as the beginning of a new and glorious life of perfect fulfillment.

His independent spirit and ability to deal with life and illness were a testament to his strength of character and personal resilience, his positive outlook and open demeanour always shone through brightening the lives of all he met. Peter had great interest in, and time for others and I am especially grateful for the time and kindness he provided to my departed mother, Peggy (RIP). From our shared childhood on the Carrick Road to infrequent meetings over the years I have very fond memories of Peter and know that his absence will be sorely felt by all who knew him. I am so sorry to hear that Peter has passed away. I knew Peter through my late nana Peggy and mum Ann. I remember Peter as such a lovely person when he visited my nana's house throughout the years and he was a great friend to both my nana and mum. We would always have the chat on the Dublin Road, coming or going or a wave and a big smile if I was in the car. He kept me up to date with you Mary and your family and also about Fr.
