Peter Sheridan

I am very saddened to hear about Peter's passing which has come as a shock. Peter has been an active member of the France Ireland Chamber of Commerce for so many years. He was a great support to our work and we frequently met him at our events.
A pleasure to have known him and a true gentleman. He will be sadly missed.

Peter Rest in Peace, it was lovely to have known you and play many rounds of Golf in your great company. I will always remember your good advice and easy going attitude to life. It was always a pleasure.

Please accept my condolences on Peter's passing. Our paths have crossed so many times in 20 years of supporting small businesses in Dublin City. Always available with advice and feedback, he is very much missed.

I was so sad to hear only today that Peter has passed away. I would pass by the house on a regular basis with my dog, Gizmo, and enjoyed chats with Peter and Colette, who were both so kind and friendly. My heart goes out to you Colette, and all the family. Peter was a true gentleman in the real sense of the word. Old style gent, a breed that are a rarity these days, which is all the more regrettable, as the world needs more people like this lovely man. I’m sure you’ll see him down the road again …

I was privileged to know Peter for many years together in Brookfield. He was a tireless contributor to the life of the club. His personal warmth and dry wit enhanced every gathering. And he was a deceptively formidable opponent on court! My last memory is of him conducting the annual awards at the

Deepest sympathy to all of Peter's family. I had the privilege to know Peter through his time in Brookfield Tennis club. He was a great club member and a true gentleman. As one of his fellow trustees his insights during our meetings were very valuable he will be greatly missed.

Sincere condolences to the Sheridan family, Peter was a great support to me when I started working with the Local Enterprise Office and so generous sharing his time and expertise. After moving on from that role, I always enjoyed catching up with Peter at various events and meetings around the city, where his good humour, quick wit and kindness made him such great company. I was very sad to hear about the sudden passing of Peter. I learned a great deal from him during my time with Dublin City Enterprise Board though his work on the evaluation committee. More importantly though, he was a great character and really good company. RIP Peter.

I was so sorry to hear about Peter's passing. He was the most lovely man. I worked closely with him in IDA and we had so much fun. It was a pleasure to work with Peter on the Dublin City Student Enterprise Programme Committee of which he was a valuable member for many years. Many have benefitted from his generous commitment to Enterprise and the development of young entrepreneurs, and I will miss him and his wisdom and experience.

Seeing the very sad news of Peter's death, I was brought back to Friday nights in Bowe's of Fleet St in the 1970s and 80s when Peter entertained and (occasionally) exasperated us in laughter filled conversations on football, politics etc. He was such tremendous company, always so affable and witty. My deepest sympathy to Collette and family on your great loss. May he rest in peace.

He would often meet us at Three Patrons and always have a story

Dear Collette, Vincent, Dermot, Andrea and extended family, we are so very sorry to hear of your huge loss. Peter will be so missed by all of you as a dear Husband, Dad and Grandad. We have lovely memories of meeting him at Dermot and Andrea's wedding. He was so proud of his little Granddaughter Eábha . Thinking of you all at this very difficult time.

As much as I have always regarded Colette as my “ honorary sister “ , the loss of her dear Peter ,by inference ,an honoured “ brother “ , is a cause of deep grief and shock . Distance is not only measured in miles but also in the mist of times ,good and sad not shared and celebrated together ,now alas denied . Regret am unable to be there to stand together with his proud sons and sisters , in support at this dreaded time . Always fondly in my heart through the years.

Peter was such a lovely gent. I enjoyed playing tennis and having the odd pint in the clubhouse with Peter or at the ‘bartenders’ ball!
