My sincerest condolences to the Callery family on the loss of Phil. I was only playing some songs recently and introducing one of my children to the singing of Phil and the voice squad and read of his untimely death. Deeply saddened that our singing tradition has lost someone so special. I have always cherished the evenings that I heard Phil and the lads sing live, I will treasure them even more now.

Sincere condolences to Phils family and friends. Knew Phil well in his early days singing, late 60/70s.Knew his late brother Mick, good friends. Met his parents in Inchicore in those days. Sad news, I just turned on Spotify around the time I got the news The Voice Squad singing the Parting Glass came on. Phil was one of the best as a person and singer.
