My condolences Niall and Ciara. So many good memories of your dad, starting from Easter 1994 at the first Cambrian Rally in Rhayader. Then the first Rally of Discovery around Ireland later the same year. And so many more great RoDs in Ireland, Crete, Wales, Spain, Cyprus and England. And taking part with him in so many other events too; in Spain, Morocco, Wales, England, France, Belgium and Italy. So much fun and adventure, so many different motorcycles, so many photos. And so many hundreds of thousands of miles in those vans of his, ‘just tipping away’ all over Europe. Quite possibly the most well-organised man I’ve ever known, and a very, very, good rider. And the best ambassador ever for the Emerald Isle. RIP Philip, and thank you. go raibh maith agat.

Shocked and saddened to hear of Philip's passing. Over 40 years since I first saw him racing moto-cross at Slane. A man who got things done and who greatly helped to push off-road motorcycings popularity with great events in Ireland - a man who truly lived the life on two wheels to its maximum, meeting and impacting on people the world over. Will be missed and remembered as one of the Legends. Thinking of Niall and family on his passing. RIP Gunner.
