Sincere sympathy to Alice and all of the family on the sad passing of Phil. I remember Phil with great kindness when he visited our home with the horses supporting our spionsored ride and when I was welcomed to Athlacca and taken for a spin around and a chat about life, horses and farming. A true gentleman.

Sincere condolences to Phil’s adored wife Alice, to his children Cathail, Fergal and Cian, of whom he was so proud. Sympathy to Phil’s grandchildren and extended family members also. I met Phil when I first came to Limerick in 1987. Phil and Alice welcomed me as a teacher and as a friend and as a great support to me in my early days. Phil welcomed me to Dromin Athlacca , where I shared their family life. My horse was also welcomed to Athlacca, which helped create many stories of hunting days! A fine gentleman, astute, warm hearted and welcoming. It was my privilege to have known Phil, and in respect of Phil’s wonderful life, if we can walk in the shadow of his spiritual footsteps, the world will be a better place. Thank you Phil for sharing your life and your gifts with so many.

Our deepest sympathy to the wonderful McAuliffe family for the loss of their beloved husband and father Phil McAuliffe! We had the chance of meeting him in a challenging milestone in Cathal’s life and we were overwhelmed by the support, serenity, kindness and generosity he professed during this period. We are sure that he left in peace feeling fully accomplished surrounded by the love of his family and peers and we wish for the McAuliffe family to lead a fulfilling, loving and creative life to cherish his memory.

All our thoughts rest with the McAuliffe family,.
