Theresa Feeney was kind enough to tell me about the funeral of a lady I never had the fortune to meet but was, am, related to: my grandmother was Ellen Egan, married to Thomas. Their son Michael was my father.

That generation was remarkable, and probably saw, and navigated, more dramatic changes than any other in history.

They became such an integral.part of our community and gave so much of their time and support to lots of committees and societies. My memory of them is through the MCR Community Centre where their involvement was very much appreciated.
