Wonderful Proinnsias,
A native of lovely Leitrim,
The same lovely County,
My Mother was from;
She also was from Fenagh,
A lovely place called Limanish,
A wonderful place,
A nicer place you couldn't wish.

I met Proinnsias in London,
And also the Emerald Isle,
A wonderful gentleman,
Always with a smile;
With his lovely family,
He was involved with things galore,
With Tara and London GAA,
He helped people's spirits soar.

I remember him also,
For an event in Leitrim he helped organise,
The reunion of Drumany school.
The whole weekend was a wonderful surprise;
A wonderful gathering,
Then meeting at Foxfield Hall,
Where certificates were presented,
My aunt, me and cousins all had a ball.

And then in the evening,
A dinner and dance,
Proinnsias helping others,
The beauty of the world he certainly did enhance;
Condolences to his family,
He's now with the Divine,
With lovely God,
Still making people's lives, happy, healthy and fine.

God bless him, his family and friends, a lovely man from lovely Leitrim, always in my prayers, Dennis.
