Condolences to Ray’s family, parents, sister ,brothers and all the extended family we are very saddened to hear of Rays passing. What a very special person he was. Always a pleasure to be in his company and he lit up any room, a gent, we’ll miss his laugh and quick wit, his friendly demeanour and what a great man! My sons Eoin and Colin have such fond memories of being in his company. I'm sure he will still be minding you from heaven and guiding you along this very tough road.

I had the great honour and privilege to play with and against the talented, charismatic craftsman that Ray was. Ray ensured friendship, respect and enjoyment was the only winner in any of our battles. It was strange not to see Ray holding centre stage in the middle of the Towers brigade today, where his fellow warriors honored his final journey. I'll miss the firm handshake, the smile, and the stories we shared over a pint. Until our next match a Chara!

Will never forget Ray for been such a considerate person when he took time out to visit me in St Vincent’s hospital in the late 70s as a young lad, and over the years would meet him at the matches in Dublin and was always a pleasure to meet and a pure gentleman
