So sorry to hear of Ray's death.Though I only met him once years ago at a wedding, he was a man who lit up the room and we got to enjoy his wonderful dancing. He touched so many lives. Deepest condolences to the McBride family, his Druid "family" and his many acting colleagues. He will not be forgotten.
— Helen Brennan
Sincere condolences to the McBride family. It is sad to see one of Galway’s greats pass away. He had genuine talent and was a very warm character. Ray symbolised so much of what was great about the Galway of his time. In theatrical circles they talk about “in the gods”. Ray has earned his respite in the care of his God now. May he Rest in Peace.

Ray was my running mate and friend when we were students at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee. I will always remember his talent as a runner and a dancer. What I will remember most about Mack was his kind and caring heart. When my wife, Teresa and I were first married he was the first person we had over for dinner in our small apartment in Johnson City, Tennessee. Mrs. McBride and family we are so sorry for your loss. Ray may be gone but he is not forgotten.
