Our thoughts and prayers are with Fr Iain’s family, friends and Franciscan Family. I had the privilege of first meeting Father Iain in the 60’s when I attended camp at Inverilort, his kindness and religious teaching has always remained with me. I met up with him again when I visited Cork in 2018 along with my partner Murdo. Despite Fr Iain’s illness he was a great host, he spent time with us singing, reciting poetry, talking in Gaelic and sharing his wisdom and knowledge, he also said mass for us. He was a lovely person he will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace.
