On behalf of the Association or Retired Commissioned Officers (ARCO), i wish to extend our sympathies to Fr Pat's extended family and the priests of the Diocese of Kildare and Leighlin, on his recent death. Fr Pat is fondly remembered for his service to the Defence Forces in the Curragh and overseas. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a Anam Dílis.

Great memories of him serving as curate in Kilcock in 60,s and his great involvement in Kilcock hurling team which was successful in winning championship in 1967. Left many friends in Kilcock as a result of his great work as a priest and community leader.

I had a great working relationship with him there for 5 years as parish secretary. I was sorry to hear about Fr. Daly's passing. I got to know Fr. Daly during his visits to Bennekerry school when I was teaching music and singing. Fr. Daly always showed great interest in the children singing and being involved in music during his time as parish priest especially for the sacraments of communion and confirmation. It was always lovely to meet him on his bicycle after his retirement and stop for a chat. Rest in peace now Fr. Daly.
