We got to know Tom many decades ago as a friend of our brother Fr John whom Tom was a great support to in his final weeks in Blackrock Rd. They will have many a story to share now they are together.

Rev. Father Tom Tracy was the epitome of humility and consistency. He signed my college certificate in 1978 in St. Thomas' Secondary School, Kano. Despite not seeing me for long years at a stretch, he calls me by name, without any effort when we meet.
A faithfull man that should be emulated. My condolences to his family and all whose lives he has impacted upon. May he find peace.

Thomas Treacy was a friend, mentor, teacher and spiritual guide who served with commitment, diligence and dedication; impacting many lives positively and bringing about a change in lives that might otherwise have gone to waste. Across the length and breadth of Nigeria and beyond are to be found his former students who take delight in announcing to the world that they are "Treacy's student". Our world is diminished by his transition. May the Good Lord grant his soul sweet repose and provide comfort, strength and succour for the bereaved and grieving.
