Sincere condolences to the Phelan family on Dick's passing. He was a golfing partner to the late Frankie Grogan and they were very good friends. Dick often looked in on me in the shop at 46 Michael St after Frankies death and was instrumental in guiding me to my subsequent career. He also taught me in WIT. A true gentleman, may he rest in peace

To Aunty Helen and all the Phelan cousins. I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Dick’s passing. It was always a pleasure to visit him in Ferrybank and he was always so interesting to talk to and full of life and vitality. It is lovely to see how he was able to stay in his own home with Aunty Helen and with Ciara and Richard close by for so long.
