I knew the Hooper family from early in my teens. Many a wonderful Sunday night party I attended in their home in Monkstown. Hosted by that wonderful lady Peggy Hooper mother of Pauline Brenny and Ricky. What a wonderful time growing up in the 60s and 70s with such great people. I kept in touch with Ricky and got to know his lovely wife Marie. We met regularly for a pint in the Graduate and various other establishments. Living quite close to each other. You will be sadly missed Ricky.

We didn't know Ricky for too long, but what we knew of him we loved so much. A truly lovely and amusing man. We knew him through Johnstown/Killiney Active Retirement Association ((JKARA) and he was so much fun and wonderful to know.
