Thank you, John, for informing me of Mgr Eugene's death on Saturday last. You had already indicated that he was not well when informing me of Mgr Jacky's death a few weeks ago. Sadly, I cannot mow locate your message on my phone, so I'm using this condolence facility to acknowledge your text and to thank you for keeping me in touch. Eugene was one year junior to me in Garbally in the 1950's and we met occasionally during the summers when he would be home from the States. I was also aware of the relationship with the Murray's in Ballymacward. Vocations to the priesthood didn't fall out of the sky. There was lots of seed planted over the years! I offered Mass for Mgr Eugene in Kilrickle on Saturday evening last, referring to the Eyrecourt and Garbally links. May he rest in Peace.
