Mrs O Dwyer was always a favourite of my parents friends to visit as a child as she was very welcoming and gracious, and had usually knitted a new jumper or other item of clothing for me. 30 years later she was still knitting jumpers for my son last year. She was a very kind hearted soul who will be missed by all. Our condolences to all her family who have lost a beautiful person.

We met Rita together at Aoise bachelor end exam, but I knew Rita before, as a lovely human, from Ireland when I had the chance to talk to her in the lovely house of Adele and Kevin. We talked about recipes, and books, and everything she will say to me sounded so positive, with love to life and carrying for what she believes in. So I was very fond of her, and presented her to my partner when we met together in the same way. He was a true gentleman to her and she remembered that even in the last days. Rita, your letters with recipes and kind words will always have a good place in our house and our souls. We have hoped to see you again, but who knows maybe in another life. We thank you for the lovely chats and what you offered with yours lovely way of being.
We will miss you and wish to your family all the best and dearest condolences. An amazing woman has passed away but will remain in our hearts forever!

How blessed we were to have Rita be a part of our family life over so many years. Her gentle unassuming nature, her kindness, her strong and independent character and her zest for life endeared her to all. The great bond of friendship between her and our mother Kitty found expression in regular visits lunches and the odd nightcap! Kevin, Adele, Aoise & Sinead we grieve for you and with you. Lovely Rita we will remember you always with great fondness and love.
