For Rita a Celtic Prayer:
As Rita goes off to Tir N’ anOg. Tir N’anOg is the place of the Blessed. There is no pain. There is no sorrow. There is only great joy. Weep but briefly for your loved one, for by now Rita has obtained a pleasure that is unattainable on this Earthly Realm. For by now our Friend, Rita has seen the face of God. She is at peace.

What a loss! I first met Rita as a professional contact when I arrived at the US Embassy in Dublin in 1998. Over the years, as we worked toward full implementation of the Good Friday Agreement, she became a valued friend to me and my entire family. She was as fierce an advocate for peace as there was, and her work on both sides of the Atlantic and on both sides of the aisle in Congress cannot be overestimated. At the same time, she was a loving mother and grandmother. I will miss Rita's spirit, dedication and wicked sense of humor greatly. Love and deepest sympathies to Brendan and the entire family.
— Ned Nolan
