My sincere condolences to all the Douglas family. I had the pleasure of knowing Rob from summers in Wexford when we were young, then school in Blackrock and the years that followed. He was quite simply one of the nicest guys I’ve ever known. Someone who would always bring a smile to your face. Full of fun and wit. His loss is deeply felt by all of us. May he rest in peace.

I got to know Rob through work, initially in IFG and later in ARB, and was privileged to call him a friend. Rob was very kind and funny, and brilliant company. Deepest condolences to his family, he was a real credit to you all. He will be sadly missed. RIP

Colette, It is hard to find words to express my sincere and heartfelt sympathy on the death of your beloved son Robert. I have found this year very tough with the death of my loving husband Martin but I am finding some consolation in the words "when we lose someone we love, we must learn not to live without them, but to live with the love they left behind". Having socialised in similar circles since our college years, we have been very lucky to get to know Robert through a number of mutual friends. And although our meetings have been infrequent over the years, they have always been incredibly memorable. One of the most instantaneously likeable and friendly people I have ever met, his passing has left the world a lesser place. To all of Roberts family & many friends - our most heartfelt condolences.
