Dear Ann, David and Jack,

I was so saddened to hear of Roberts passing. While I did not teach him, I shared the Young Scientist experience with him. When I encountered him in Blairs last year we made the school connection- his smile is not one that you forget!
His easy, open manner and infectious, bright smile would brighten anyone's day. Thinking of him and his family.

All I can do is offer sincere condolences to Robert’s family and friends on his untimely death. We are all helpless in the face of such tragedy.

To Jack, Ann, David and family, I’m so incredibly sorry to hear of Roberts passing.

I had the privilege of being seated in between Robert and Jack in Rang Clár on the first day of 1st year back in 2008. Over the months and years that followed, I couldn’t have asked for two nicer people to call friends. The craic and divilment we had are some of my fondest memories - Robert truly had the patience of a saint. His kindness, creativity and intelligence shone through, always there to help you out if your were stuck, and his incredible sense of humour and smile brightened up even the darkest day. A fond memory is a week in Dublin for Young Scientist in 2012, I was always in awe of how Robert had the courage to be true to himself when most of us followed the crowd - he had a wisdom and maturity that were far beyond his years.

Thinking of you all at this difficult time. Proud to have known you Robert.
