Condolences to Rod and family on the passing of Bobbie she was an amazing lady loved our chats in the shop
— Niall and Siobhan Dowling Ashford
Was so sad to hear that Bobbie had passed away: she was a great supporter of bird conservation in Ireland as well as having a wonderful "glass half full" attitude to life. My sincere condolences to Rob: may Bobbie rest in peace
— Kieran Grace
I don’t even know where to begin. I wouldn’t be who I am without her influence and support. She encouraged me to have brave adventures but also the comfort and sweetness of coming home. Travels with Bert are some of my favorite memories. But just to be loved by her was the best thing ever. She was always there and I’ll never forget her coming to visit and sleeping over when my twins were “wee ones” and she cleaned out our refrigerator. She was the best in so many ways. She leaves a hole in so many of our hearts. Sending you love Rod and hope it fills the hole just a bit.
— Heidi Bechtold
Bobbie, I'm sooo going to miss you for so many reasons. Love you my friend! Now you can fly high with the falcons. My sympathies to your family. She was many things to many people and I am blessed for having known her.
— Margaret Kurtz aka MAK
I was so very sad to hear of Bobbie's passing. I met her when we were both birdwatching many years ago. She was always so passionate about nature and had a great love of birds and all animals. Even though I had not seen her for many years, we kept in touch and she always remembered my birthday. Deepest condolences to Rod, all her family, and of course Mise-the-wonder-dog as Bobbie always called him. Rest in peace my dear friend.
— Mary Doyle
So so sorry, to learn about Bobbie’s death, she was my / our editor (coauthor, Maureen Roche), for the Art Craft Design book for the Junior Cert. Art. We became friends sharing a love of nature. We had hoped to meet up again after the pandemic, but alas she was called away. A wonderful person, she will be missed by many, but particular by Rod and her extended family and friends.💜💜💜

A beautiful soul. She loved much and was beloved in return. Such an impression she made to scores of students from St Cecilia’s - we were all so excited get reconnected to her - we had our own FB page Miss Reener’s Kids. Some even lucky enough to meet up with her a few years back when she visited Rochester. RIP sweet Bobby. Prayers of comfort to Rod and her family. Your loss and sadness is felt by many.

I am so sad to hear of Roberta's passing. It was always a comfort knowing there was another "American" nearby that would understand things, and she always had time for a wee chat. Rod, you are most certainly in my prayers and I am lighting a candle down at the Grotto in Glenealy and asking the angels to bring you and her family and all of her friends the comfort and strength you will all need to get through this very sad parting.
— Eileen McLane
