Mourning the unforgettable Rory Jones.

To Edina, never has a year passed when I haven't remembered your kind words about the charming, compassionate, funny and handsome boy you brought to the world.

Alan and Bernard, we only met once but Rory spoke of you often, as he did of the beautiful Sue, and father Terry, both who he was deeply attached to. I can't remember the song the family sang for him by the staircase to make him go to bed as a child...It seems bedtime was something he always struggled with :) being the quintessential rock (and reggae) star.

Rory...You're now with the ones you'd been waiting to see for so long. Godspeed and prayers, forever in our hearts x

I'm trying to imagine what Rory would think about all this ....because a thinker and a dreamer he was. Always one step ahead of the posse! When we met at school in 1986 we instantly hit it off and Rory became my 'connection' to the outside world. Im not sure who got who into more trouble! Great times. Innocent times. The nights I managed to escape from the boarding halls and wander up the road to 'jonesies' house were the best of times. I bumped into Rory on July 1st in Cork and unfortunately we only had a brief chat. If only I knew that it was the last time I would see him. I will miss my old friend. But I will never forget him.
Rest in Peace Rorz x
