Rose was a wonderful woman who helped me greatly in my political career over many years. She was a great person to canvas with as she seemed to know everyone in Glasnevin & Finglas East from her years of community involvement.

So sorry to hear my dear friend Rose has passed away. A wonderful woman, so good to everyone. Accompanied me to St Rita novena many times. Loved her GAA, hope Jim and her are having some banter now just like they used to. RIP Rose

Only realised this sad news. Over the years we have had the pleasure of meeting and seeing Rose on a Sunday morning. We first met when doing a mini marathon for different charities and Rose became our '49 and holding' pal. Thank you Rose for all your kindness, prayers and fun we had at our meetings.

Rose's funeral spoke silent volumes. The large volume of people, the dignity of her family and the support of her friends was very obvious. All clear signs of a remarkable women. Her friends in FF were evident. I send these condolences on behalf of my family especially to Colm who is a friend and to Eoghan who is a friend of my son Stanley.

I have so many happy memories of Rose who (when I was a child) I called Mrs Corgette because she gave me corgette seeds , so I could grow them in the garden. I loved meeting her. So full of energy. She will be sadly missed in the area. May she rest in peace.

Such sad news to hear of Rose. Our sincere condolences to all the family. My Mam (Theresa), although she has dementia, still has fond memories of Rose with the local Glasnevin Active Retirement group and when they both worked many many years ago at Turners' Sweet Shop on Manor Street. Rose always had a good word for my mother and always had time for a chat on her way home or heading out for the day etc. May She Rest in Eternal Peace.

So sorry for your loss Judith, your mam was such a great character. I will miss the funny stories from your regular visits…. We will now have to reminisce on times gone bye.

My sincere condolences to all of Rose family, very fond memories of Rose throughout the years with my Mam and Dad (Harry & Babs), many a day spent debating politics and GAA in the house, and of course her lifelong friendship with my aunty, Rosaleen O’Hanlon galavanting into Dublin on the 19A, you couldn’t keep up with them.
She was always very kind to me, I complimented her brown bread once, and then every week she would drop a freshly made loaf into mams for me ❤️
