I was privileged to meet Sarah in June 2023, when she joined Melissa and I for an evening in Dublin. She made an impression during those few hours. After attending the beautiful funeral service today I am struck by how much the Obituaries resonated with the person I barely got to know. In particular the comment about her self effaced approach - she told me (in answer to the usual 'what do you do?') that 'she worked for the HSE' whilst describing a little of what she did, with no hint of the seniority or importance of her role.
Such a lovely lady - Rest in Peace.
