Very saddened to hear of Seamus passing. Seamus was a good friend and colleague. I shared an office with Seamus when I started working in ITSligo and up to his retirement. He was always willing to advice and help, loved the conversation and banter in the office, was very knowledgeable and much liked by his colleagues and students and was missed in the office when he left. May he rest in peace.
— Owen Feeney
Many fond memories of Seamus, a real gentleman he will be sadly missed
— Liam McDonagh Former student Sligh IT
We were very sorry to hear the news about Seamus.
Many happy memories of Seamus and Toni's visits to New Zealand, especially completing the Tongariro Crossing with them. I'll always remember how impressed the locals were catching Seamus and Toni swimming in the sea in May, and asking them if it was a dare! It was wonderful that Seamus was able to make it out to spend time in New Zealand with his family doing activities he loved.
Thinking of you all, Caroline

Deepest sympathy on the passing of Seamus. Seamus lectured me in the RTC as it was then and I found him to be an inspirational, warm funny and huge gentleman. We always enjoyed his lectures, the extended 3 minutes to answer a structural conundrum and mainly his tales of Africa most especially the fabulous pictures he painted of his beloved Tanzania. We benefited from his company for a small pint on a few occasions in Cyril O’Connors. I have thought of you fondly many times over the years, rest in plece Seamus.
