Sorry to hear about Seamus' passing. He was a great community organizer and a pleasure to chat to about local history and archeology. He will be missed.
— Paddy Sharkey
Meeting Séamus last year while he was teaching at Oideas Gael was a privilige and I know he insprired all the students who were lucky enough to meet him. He was one in a million and will never be forgotten.
— Eithne O'Donnell
Rest in Peace dear Seamus. It came as a great shock to all our family to hear of your passing as we hadn't been in touch for nearly a year since our sister Ann died suddenly & I lost contact with everyone. Nora and Seamus were like family to our late brother Jarlath who sadly passed in 2013. Nora was so proud of Seamus & rightly so. I will so miss Seamus regaling us with the adventures the boys had abroad on holidays. The "boys" Jarlath, Seamus, Rory & Johnny. Condolences to Rory & Johnny from all the Morris family. It's hard to believe that Seamus, who was larger than life & always a perfect gentleman, is no longer with us. So sad for all in Carrick.
— Dymphna & Bernie Morris 59 Renmore Road Galway
I was so sorry to learn the sad news of Seamus. Always kind and thoughtful, with a wonderful sense of humour, his personality never failed to cheer everyone up on even the dampest of field excursions. He was always a positive and welcome addition to any social gathering or research project - a true gentleman and natural scholar. He will be missed very much by all who knew him in the School of Geography, Archaeology & Irish Studies, NUI Galway.
— Joe Fenwick, Archaeology

It was with great sadness that I learnt of Seamus's sudden death. I spent many very happy hours on field work with Seamus with undergraduates on Salthill beaches in all kinds of weather and several away trips coring with the Paleo crew. Our last memorable trip was in Summer 2021, three glorious days in his beloved Donegal coring on Doon Lough, he was so eager to help us and so proud of his native county.
We will miss your quick wit and friendly smile.
