Shocked and saddened to hear about the untimely passing of Séamus. He joined the teaching staff of the then Presentation Convent Castlecomer a couple of years before I completed my Leaving Certificate but even then as a young Irish teacher, he made an impact. I bumped into him many many many years later - The Principal and his staff on a Christmas night out and me on a trip home from London - and in typical form, he had a ready smile and chat for the former student...ní bheidh a leithéid ann aris. Sincere condolences to his family at this very sad time.
— Dearbhla Hunt
Sincere sympathy to Sheila,Luke,Ciara,Annie and the O’Connor family on the very sad and untimely death of Seamus. I was devastated to hear the news.
I have wonderful memories of my time working with Seamus from 1985-2015. He was a great friend and colleague and I enjoyed working under his guidance as Principal for 10 years. He was very supportive, encouraging and approachable and I always valued his advice. His sense of humour often brightened a dull day and helped create a lovely working environment for both staff and students.
I will always treasure the memories.
Ar dheis de ar a anam dilis.
