Séamus (Shay) Kearney

Shay went to school with my dad, Seamus, who too sadly passed away in October. Shay was present 27 years ago in the Long Mile Inn when I told my then girlfriend I fancied her. Still happily married, we always remember Shay when we tell people how we met. So sorry for your loss.

Very sorry to just read the news on the passing of Shay. Shay was a school friend of my late Dad Shay whom they always remembered each other over the years since school.

I remember Shay from the Halfway House where himself and my Dad always had a fond greeting.

We were so saddened to hear about the death of Shay who was an outstanding friend to all of the Kelly family going back decades. His infectious laugh and wit made for many a memorable night, especially in Val Hatton's and other places. Generous, helpful and kind, he was a great guy to know.
I’m so glad Jackie got a chance to meet with you both the last time we were over home.
Although very sad at the moment, you only have to think of Shay and immediately that grin and one liners will put a smile back on your face.
I hope the bar that Shay, Uncle Bob and my Dad are all now together again at, is rocking to the humour that they brought.
