It is with the deepest sadness that I write this condolence on behalf of all the Kearney family. Expressing, in a few short sentences, how we feel about Shay's passing is difficult. He was more than a friend who was considerate, generous to all of us, a decent man. Shay had a good sense of doing the right thing at the right time. His space in life will not be filled again. Anyone who knew Shay knew he loved to sing and especially ballads. So I'll Borrow a line from a ballad and say 'You'll never see the likes of Shay again'. Ar Ais dé go raibh a ainm uasail mo Chara. Dubs agus Eoghan Ruadh Abú Pat.
Today we have lost a good friend, comrade, companion and Member. On behalf of the members of the Association, I wish to convey our heartfelt condolences to the extended Stone Family. You are now reunited with Michael & Charlie, your gunnery brothers. Sleep well. RIP Shay
