Very sad to hear of Sean's passing. I got to know him through The Science Teacher's Association and also Tralee Mountaineering Club. He was always interesting to meet with his pleasant demeanour and vast knowledge of many topics, especially in the sciences and education.

My deepest sympathy to Ena, Dara Brona Colman and the extended family on the death of your beloved Sean. The abiding memory I hold of my esteemed former colleague is of our Comenius endeavours. Sean as you know was a perfectionist. In preparing for meetings he was thorough and painstaking, proud to represent his Mercy school and the town. He brought his considerable knowledge ,dignity and diplomacy to these gatherings. The partner colleagues held him in very high esteem. He examined and presented the outcomes of our shared research with accuracy artistry and elegance. It was impeccable. Sean was sociable a gentleman and good fun. When we hosted a final meeting in Tralee he shared his love of Dunquin and the Blasket Islands with paricipants from Slovakia Turkey and Poland a spectacular treat. It was a privelege to work with him. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam dilis..

Sad to hear of the passing of Mr Geary. He taught me science in Balloonagh in the late 70’s/early 80’s. While it’s a long time ago and I may not remember much science, I have fond memories of a calm, kind, patient and witty man. His class was always enjoyable and fun and many is the laugh we had with him. May he be rewarded for his good deeds. My sympathy to his family. RIP Mr Geary
