My sincere condolences to the O Leary family. I first encountered Seanie when my late father (Mick Foley Timoleague) took me to see Cork play Limerick is PUC. Years later I was lucky enough to have Seanie as a coach for our Cork U21 team in 1991. Seanie was a gent. My dad loved him. I’m sure they are up above now chatting about how goals win hurling matches.

Our deepest sympathy to all the O'Leary family, a memory from a Galway Cork game in Ballinasloe in the 70's, that I was part of, when a Seanie hand goal decided the game. An irate Galway supporter challenging him after the game shouted "You threw that ball Seanie" Seanie quickly replied "I did but ye would never think of doing that". May he rest in peace.
