The present Branch of permanent tsb owes its legacy to Shane. In the mid 1980’s the old Irish Permanent Building Society recognising the excellent Agency that Shane had built up in Swords over many years acquired the Agency back from Shane and gave it full Branch status. I was lucky enough to manage the Branch much later between 2012 and 2019 and even then some of the customers remembered him fondly.
A life well lived. May Shane rest easily.
