Such sad news. Grace, Oisin and all the Rooney and Coffey families are in our thoughts.

Thinking of Shanes family and friends as they take him on his final journey. Especially his wife Grace, son Oisìn, his parents and siblings. I attended school below Shane but in recent years had met him on golf course whilst his son took place in Junior Irish Open. We chatted all things Bundoran, but mostly he was so proud of his young son playing the golf tournament. Shocking news that has touched many people. May the happy memories of Shane help those who loved him through the dark days ahead.

Been struggling to find the words because it just didn't seem real. How could someone so full of life and laughter be taken so soon and so suddenly? So many memories of Shane and all of them great ones. So many nights Donohoes was like a scene from Coyote Ugly where Shane had the bar staff up dancing on the bar and him laughing his head off at it all. Many a night himself and Oisin would drop over to the house for a cup of tea and listening to tunes or vice versa. And many times Shane came to our aide when I had a seizure. A great friend. A genuine guy. A wonderful neighbour. Thoughts and prayers are with Grace and Oisin - the lights of his life, and also with his Mam and Dad, his siblings and wider family. A light has gone out in our community. Miss him dreadfully. May he rest in peace
