we were absolutely devastated to hear of the passing of our dear friend. We were fortunate to share so many great times with Sharon, from watching rugby in the pub, to drinking sangria in the sun. Sharon was such a caring and kind lady and a lot of fun with the biggest heart who made the best baked treats! She was an absolute force! She would make you laugh until your belly hurt! We will miss her dearly and remember her always. She adored you Benji and Tim you boys were her entire world. Her little team. Love to you both, hopefully soon we can give you a great big squeeze and raise some fizz to beautiful Sharon. We are holding you both in our hearts.

Dear Tim & Benjamin,

We were so deeply saddened to hear of Sharon’s passing. She was such a supportive colleague, a true friend and a beautiful soul. Our working days greatly feel the loss of her presence, our lives will miss her friendship. Sharon was a “warrior” to the very end. No matter what life threw at her she always faced each day with a smile.

Sincere condolences to Tim, Ben and Sharon’s extended family. I had the pleasure of working with Sharon for many years. She was a wonderful caring teacher. Sharon was very methodical in preparation for her classes each day. The students in her classes received practical life skills that they continue to benefit from daily. Sharon was a vey popular member of staff and her contributions to the Staff Room were legendary. I will remember you all in my prayers over the coming days.
— John Kingston, St. Augustine’s School.
I had the pleasure of teaching Ben French. When we came back after months of homeschooling due to the Covid Pandemic I remember him telling me that his mother encouraged him to meet up his friends & socialise during that time. She was going through chemo at the time. I remember being struck by the selflessness of that. She was more concerned about her son's welfare & making sure he got to socialise & meet others than she was about her own health & catching something which would further compromise her health. What a kind act & what a kind woman. She was so proud of the man Ben became. She loved you dearly.
My thoughts are with you Ben x
— Clodagh Finane
My deepest sympathy and prayers for the Owen family on the death of Sharon.
