Sincere sympathy to the Healy family..I didn't know Shay personally but he was part of my youth.
I attended sessions in the Castle Inn opposite Christ Church Cathedral in the late 1960's. Shay appeared there regularly , I think it was on Tuesdays. along with Danny Doyle and The Emmet Folk who comprised Donal Lunny, Mick Moloney and Brian Bolger. Shay was billed as " the man who gently rocks the establishment" Great nights. May he rest in peace.
