I was a classmate of Shirleys at UCC and remember well her quiet dignity, modesty and humour. I can see she was well respected by family colleagues and friends both in the UK and Ireland. We will raise a toast to her life and remember her at our reunion in Tramore in June 2024

She was extremely kind to some people we called during the pandemic in the Caring Callers Club. Hearing memories being recalled in recent days has revealed just how kind she truly was. Its with deep sadness that we heard of the passing of Shirley, who was a wonderful supporter to the Annual Christian Aid Sheeps Head Hike event in September each year.
Shirley was always to the forefront in assisting on the day of the registration and in so many other ways with this great annual event.
A beautiful person, so friendly and always obliging. She will be missed.
