Auntie Monica always made me feel like her family was mine so everyone that visited Dom. Rep. was Auntie, uncle or cousin! I got to know cousin Simon well in and we bonded greatly over music. He was a wonderful person and I was so happy to have known him. My deepest condolences to his children, brothers and sisters and all who had the pleasure of having him in their life!💜
— Sonia Ginebra Santoni
I got to know Simon through his musicianship in the Kings Inn, on Wednesdays. We would have great chats during the break. One day as he struggled in the door with the double bass, I asked 'could you not have picked a smaller instrument to play?'. His immediate reply - 'Well I am proficient on the spoons'. Such was Simon's sense of humour and his wit.

My deepest condolences to Simon's friends and family at this sad time.
