We will always have such fond memories of St. Assumpta.
She was always going here, there and everywhere but it was never for her own benefit. She visited the sick, the elderly and the poor, gave all her time with great willingness.
She is a Mercy Sister and certainly fulfilled her vows to the maximum extent.
Sister Assumpta had a kind heart.
May her gentle soul Rest in Peace.

The passing of Maureen (Sr. Assumpta) has left a huge void in our lives, no more Sunday evening phone call, no more holidays in our home where we would spend the nights reminiscing about old times or the people who we once knew that have also passed. Gone are the shopping trips into Tralee and the daily trips back to Lixnaw and Ballybunion visiting relatives. The beaming smile and hearty laugh will no longer resonate from the top of the table where she took up residence like the queen.
To the Mercy sisters, who we considered to be her family, we offer our heartfelt condolences. For you, she is the missing link in the chain. To the people of Granard, whose lives she touched, we thank you most sincerely for the kind words you imparted and gave us a bigger understanding of her life's work.
We are happy to know that she will not be forgotten and lovingly remembered.
