Comhbhron o chroi le Miuintir Ui Laighin agus clann siuracha na Trocaire.huge condolences to the Leen and Mercy families.I know I would not be where I am today without the gentle guidance and sacrifice of my family and Siur Baiste and her team of sisters.She respected and passed on a love of heritage and language in keeping with the Gaeltacht environment she worked in.That in turn is being passed on to countless generations in the teachers she educated that spread the Gaelscoil message throughout the country.I am 25 years in a Gaelscoil in Mayo passing on a respect for the Gaelic heritage awakened in me in Colaiste Ide.Not alone that but Sr Baiste organised travel for me to Tralee and beyond for training sessions with the Irish basketball team-unseen to many.When my father phoned to enquire if we-myself and my sister-had arrived safely in Colaiste Ide from Wicklow after trains and buses and casually mentioned my Mum was under pressure getting laundry done ,she organised that our laundry would be done to take the pressure off.Idealistic and practical.Go mor faoi chomaoin agat a Shiur .Ar dheis De go mbeidh d’-anam naïfs.
