Sr Celsus (Alice) Nealon FMDM

Sincere condolences to Johnny,Patrick,Mickey, Terence, Brian,Marie,Ursula,Kitty,Liam,
Grace David and the extended Nealon families on the sad passing of Alice . I have fond memories of her and especially the morning she called to Carrentrilla as she was
leaving to join the FMDM sisters its still fresh in my memory. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

You were a true disciple of Christ. We are grateful to God for your great contributions towards advancing the frontiers of God's kingdom in Northern Nigeria. You gave your all and your efforts were not in vain as many have come to experience the love of God in practical ways. May God be merciful to you in judgement and grant you the gift of the beatific vision. Adieu dear Sr Celsus

My sincere sympathies to the Nealon family on the loss of Alice. I recall visiting my cousins in Mount Assumpta as a child. I have great memories of meeting Alice and her mother Kathleen (my godmother) when they visited Ballina in later years. Alice was a wonderful person. May she rest in peace.

I have many precious memories of our time growing up in Mt. Assumpta and of Alice coming to visit our home and tell us of her many missionary activities in Nigeria. Alice had a big warm heart and loved dearly. May she now enjoy her true home in Heaven with her Mam and Dad and Nanda.

I am so sorry to hear of Sister Celsus's death. She is at peace and I know how loved she was by all the FMDM sisters, especially in Nigeria.

It was with great regret indeed that I heard of the death of Sr. Celsus, may she rest in peace. I had enquired about her very recently at Ladywell Convent.

Sr. Celsus radiated a heavenly joy, a dedicated nun of enormous humility and compassion, who saw God in everybody. I can honestly say that I never met such a gentle and holy person in my whole life. She will long remain ever fresh in my memory. May God be good to her and grant her eternal rest after her long life of dedication to Him.

My sincere sympathy to all who mourn Celi and those recalling their own memories of her these days... I have very special memories of her when I was a young FMDM. Meeting her in Batley when I was a Postulant and living in Community with her in Mount Alvernia, Guildford. She was full of life and energy, and had great zeal for Mission to people. She made the most beautiful fudge and anything she put her hand to was made to perfection. Her relationship with God was her life and her love for God was so evident in her living. She has been a true inspiration to me and always will. Rest in the loving arms of God Celi. You are home now. Caroline 🪻
